Friday, July 5 - 5:30pm - 7pm ET
FENCING FOR THE EDGE intimately chronicles the journey of a top high school girls' fencing team, as they compete as the underdogs of their league. The Bernards team is led by Jenna, Caitlin, and Kristen–and they pour their sweat and hearts into training to secure a chance at the elusive State Team Championship. However, standing in their path to glory are the reigning champions, the formidable girls of the Columbia team.
As the season unfolds amidst intense competitions, tensions rise and the Bernards girls face unexpected challenges that put their dreams at risk. With each match building to the anticipated finale with Bernards and Columbia, the fate of the championship hangs in the balance.
10 years after the championship battle, the film reconnects with the young fencers and explores the enduring impact of their heroic season. FENCING FOR THE EDGE is about competition but it also highlights the transformative power of sports in shaping character, resilience, and camaraderie among young women.
