Project SAFE

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention:

• Drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death for children under age 5.
• It’s the #2 cause of accidental death for children ages 5-14.
• Sixth leading cause of unintentional injury of death for people of all ages

YMCA Project SAFE (Safety, Aquatics, and Fitness Education), is a FREE program that provides swim instruction to first-graders in underserved communities.
