As a local leader in home repair, Rebuilding Together Atlanta has been committed to fulfilling our mission to “repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives” by making homes safer and healthier for low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities at no cost across the Atlanta metropolitan area for 30 years. By providing preventive home modifications to the homes of low-income older adults often with mobility issues and other disabilities, RTA works to improve accessibility, reduce falls, increase independence, and facilitate aging in place for many of Atlanta’s most vulnerable residents.

Rebuilding Together Atlanta's critical work strengthens the backbone of our communities by supporting our most vulnerable neighbors in need. Homeowners who received services from RTA were surveyed by an independent third-party evaluator on the impact of the services. Those results include:

• Most homeowners reported an increased ability to pay for daily necessities, including groceries, medicine, and safe, healthy housing.
• 9 in 10 homeowners felt less stress about home repairs and maintenance.
• 9 in 10 homeowners who received repairs now plan to age in place.
• 7 in 10 homeowners who received repairs reported low or no chance of falling.
• 2/3 of homeowners reported their health improved after the repairs were completed.
• 3 in 5 homeowners who received repairs say their homes are more valuable as an asset.
• Homeowners who received repairs felt our work made a difference in their community.
• The majority of homeowners who received repairs expressed feeling greater pride in their homes.
