"Alex Massa Plays Well With Others"

+ artists Shawn Myers, Georgi Petrov, Alex Chapman performing Alex Massa’s “Water Music” + more original compositions by Shawn, Georgi and Alex. 

Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged. All ages welcome if accompanied by parents/guardians.

Alex massa will be performing two sets at the Dahl on April 15th. The first set will be the first live premiere of his recently released ‘Water Music’ (released november 2020), that is an evolving suite of music aimed at raising awareness of the global water crisis and celebrating water protectors around the earth. The two pieces of music you will hear focus on the situations in Flint, Michigan as well as the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. For this set, Alex and his trio will be joined by a string trio led by rapid city born and raised Alex Chapman.

The second set will see just the trio (Alex Massa, Shawn Myers and Georgi Petrov) performing their own original compositions.

This trio was formed in 2017 in New Orleans, under the name ’Tricky Lamb’  and performed frequently around the city, until alex’s departure. This is their first gig together since 2018.
