Joaquin was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and came to the US when he was a small boy. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area he never forgot where he came from and made a promise to himself to one day help the youth of El Salvador. When he decided to run his very first triathlon he thought it would be a great idea to bring awareness and raise money for a nonprofit that assists the youth of El Salvador. He was introduced to Wendy, Education Coordinator of Pazitos, and knew right away this was an organization he was meant to work with.

Joaquin is excited to announce that he will be matching up to $1,000 in donations. All donations will help students in El Salvador reach their educational goals.
