N Her Footsteps is a dedicated charitable organization focused on empowering children, educators, and underserved families in Jefferson County. Inspired by the legacy of our family's matriarch, Barbara Jean Mills Sheets, we are committed to addressing educational and socio-economic disparities through various impactful initiatives.

Our mission is to create meaningful change by enhancing access to education, resources, and support. From providing scholarships to deserving youth for college or vocational training to maintaining care closets and teacher supply cabinets in local schools, we strive to ensure that every student and educator in our community has the tools they need to succeed.

Through our various programs—including the Warm Clothing Initiative, Backpack Repack, and Teacher Supply Cabinets—we work to alleviate financial burdens and uplift those who might otherwise be overlooked. Our efforts are driven by a deep commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive community, one step at a time.
