WHAT IS NEW MOON FEST?
NEW Moon Fest is a brand new Nantucket film event that will illuminate the works of women storytellers around the world.

HOW DID IT COME TO BE?
Over 14 years ago, Nantucket was introduced to the remarkable world of LUNAFEST. More than just a film festival, this event brought crucial women's issues to the forefront and quickly became a joyous annual rite of spring for the Nantucket community. However, it was recently announced that LUNAFEST would be pausing its efforts for the foreseeable future. Faced with the reality of losing such an important and impactful event, Nantucket Community Television (NCTV) and its board of directors are proud to announce the premiere of NEW Moon Fest - Nantucket Empowering Women.

THE INSIDE SCOOP
NEW Moon Fest Co-chairs, Lisa Getter and Lisa Soeder, are both luminaries who played pivotal roles in LUNAFEST's success on Nantucket.
Spearheading the curation of this year's empowering slate of short films is NEW Moon Fest's Director of Programming, Stephanie Serra.
Completing the team is a commanding and passionate group of women, each with their own unique ties to the island. Together they make up the Official NEW Moon Fest Selection Committee.
