BLACK VIOLIN at ARONOFF CENTER TO SUPPORT HELEN LEE GENTRY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Hip-hop meets classical with the acclaimed band Black Violin, led by classically trained string players Wil B. (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin), who are joined onstage by DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. The band’s Give Thanks Holiday Tour employs playful storytelling, whimsical string melodies, and hard-hitting beats to highlight the unifying pillars of the holiday season: Giving back to others and being wholeheartedly thankful. Fans can expect holiday favorites from their Give Thanks album and hits from their Grammy-nominated Take the Stairs album (including top hits “Impossible is Possible” and “Showoff”), which Billboard claims “continues to celebrate Black Violin’s genre-less approach to music.”
