Gerry’s Café Mission and Status:

Gerry’s Café is a one-of-a-kind coffee shop in Arlington Heights staffed by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, serving great coffee, pastries and fresh breakfast and lunch offerings, all with a welcoming smile.

We’ve come a long way, but still need your help. The year 2023 was a pivotal for Gerry's Cafe. After a long five-year journey of fundraising and location scouting, the dream, promise and opportunity of Gerry's Cafe finally materialized at 1802 N. Arlington Heights Road. This achievement became a reality because of your unwavering support and dedication. However, our mission of Changing Lives One Cup at a Time is far from complete. Being a non-profit organization with a special workforce comprising of over 40 remarkable individuals, our operational expenses far exceed those of the average cafe; these expenses are in alignment with our mission, providing as many teammates opportunities as possible, even if that mean our expenses exceed those of a comparable cafe. Consequently, we find ourselves in continued need of your support; we humbly ask you once again to help us and participate in our fund-a-need, raffle, or auction. Your contributions will ensure that our dedicated employees continue to find opportunity and employment, and Gerry's Cafe remains a strong and enduring presence in our community, both now and in the future.
