The Bay to Park Paseo Project will be led by a team of volunteers to design and build a unique, engaging 1.7-mile impermanent walking experience connecting the San Diego Bay to Balboa Park and Downtown along Park Boulevard – home to many of Downtown San Diego’s iconic places; the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge, the Central Library, Petco Park, the new UC San Diego Park & Market, NewSchool of Architecture & Design, San Diego City College, and San Diego High.
Inspiring, Imaginative, Impermanent, and Instagrammable
The Paseo uses public art, and placemaking interventions that will provide examples or “proto-types” for longer-term change. it’s designed to encourage and highlight walking, which makes it available, free, and enjoyable for everyone.
