My name is Dan Carpenter, US Army Veteran Paratrooper and Information Systems Analyst.
I am happy to be matching BOTH the first $500 of donations to my campaign AS WELL AS the top gift of $1000 from a very generous, anonymous donor at Dreamforce 19!
I also want to give heartfelt thanks to all other donors including the next-highest contributor Chrissy Wojtewicz who's pledge of $500 earlier in the campaign was a very big boost - Thanks Chrissy!
Thanks to the Merivis Training I received I now have a rewarding career Specializing in Salesforce. After stepping up in my former role with the National Domestic Violence Hotline to boost their use of the Salesforce platform I went on to found my own consulting firm and to accepted a role as Lead Applications Administrator with an Insurance Marketing Firm supporting hundreds of Salespersons in three separate call centers assisting customers with shopping for the best available Health Insurance options to meet their needs.
Through Merivis I have been a student in Administrator, Platform App Builder, Community Cloud Consultant, and the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Classes.
I currently hold a total of seven Salesforce Certifications including: Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, Community Cloud Consultant, and Marketing Cloud Email Specialist.
The benefit of being a part of this family goes way beyond technical skills.
In addition to training Merivis provides a valuable network to help participants find jobs, resources and experience for whatever comes their way as a Salesforce Professional with many of us Alumni volunteering as Coaches and Mentors to future students and choosing to assist Merivis in any way we can.
Please join me in supporting Merivis's Trailblazing work to empower Veterans and Veteran Spouses through Salesforce training, mentoring, and job readiness.
Merivis supports veterans preparing for their next missions through training, mentorship and job readiness for Salesforce cloud technology positions. With a growing need for Salesforce certified professionals and an increasing number of underemployed veterans in the country, we bridge the gap to help veterans transition to civilian life and find great careers. Since we started in 2015, Merivis has impacted the lives of nearly 250 military veterans by supporting them in their transition to civilian careers. Through our Salesforce training programs, we've put them on the path to growing, in-demand technology roles and we couldn't have done it without every member of the Merivis community.
According to IDC, over 3.3 million jobs will be created in the Salesforce ecosystem by 2022* with many different paths and opportunities open to certified Salesforce professionals. Merivis connects veterans and military spouses to these career opportunities, which bridge the gap, support veterans’ transition to the civilian workplace and keep the Salesforce talent pipeline rich with newly trained individuals eager to jump-start their careers. Your contribution allows us to continue to offer our workforce development programs and help bridge the gap from military years to technology careers.
