Ways You Can Engage

About Dallas Christian Women's Job Corps

In 1998, five women came together with a desire to serve women coming out of crisis. Twenty-five years later, Dallas Christian Women's Job Corps (DCWJC) continues to empower women who are transitioning out of crisis or desiring a new start in life after being deprived of education, skills, and confidence.

As we expand our services and ability to better serve the women who walk through our doors, our continued goal is to be a place of respite and hope, as we help meet the overwhelming needs of the 75228 community and surrounding areas.

Our core Workforce Readiness and Life Skills Program (WRLS), serves women who are one step out of a crisis, i.e., exiting incarceration, transitioning out of homelessness, recovering from drug addiction, recently widowed, and/or in need of enhanced skills to re-enter the job market. This program contains three cornerstones: Bible Study to help each woman build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; Job Skills Training including: computer skills, resume writing, interview skills, goal planning and time management; and Life Skills Training including: parenting/relationship building, communication skills, conflict resolution, budgeting, and nutrition. In addition, we have a modified online version of WRLS that we conduct at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center.  Beginning in March, we started our ESL learning labs and have had a tremendous amount of success.  In 2024 we plan for continued growth with all of these programs and also to begin teaching GED classes.

Your donations will help remove common barriers and allow many women looking for hope and a future to complete the life-changing programs offered at Dallas Christian Women's Job Corps.  Will you help?
