We are pleased to announce that Dallas 24 Hour Club will produce a brand new 2021 edition of Cooking at Home Through the Seasons: A Collection of Recipes Created by Dallas’ Top Chefs From Their Homes to Yours. The Cookbook will feature favorite seasonal recipes from new and returning celebrity chefs, along with inspirational messages of hope and recovery, which highlight our mission since 1969 to provide safe, sober transitional living for homeless men and women seeking a brand new life away from drugs and alcohol.
We are beyond honored that our chefs are continuing to support The 24 in this very special way and we are pleased to announce that Chef Junior Borges, Vice President of Culinary for the new restaurant concept, The Village Dallas, along with Chef Sharon Van Meter, President and CEO of 3015 at Trinity Groves and SVM Productions, the leader in television and radio culinary world, have joined our team as Honorary Chefs and will assist with this year’s Cookbook.
In order to raise the necessary funds to continue our mission, we need your support now more than ever because we are seeing an unprecedented number of people who suffer from substance abuse being very negatively impacted during this very stressful time. More are becoming homeless and in need of the type of services The 24 offers. In 2020, we served 400 residents with 1 out of 3 residents embracing recovery! Additionally, we recently opened Tillman House, a sober, affordable, fully-furnished apartment-style living facility for our Successful 24 Graduates. Now more than ever, we need your support.
