In a recent conversation with our Teammates, we learned many of them did not attend their high school prom. This was not surprising as social opportunities are very limited for individuals with IDD. The purpose of the event is to provide attendees a memorable evening and an opportunity to socialize with other adults with IDD who participate in similar programs including 

the Moody YMCA - Special Olympics, The Notre Dame School of Dallas, and Community Homes for Adults.

We need your help!

Please register and help make this an amazing experience for our Teammates and their Friends! 

If you are unable to volunteer the entire shift, 3:30p - 8:30p, please let us know when you register and provide your availability in the notes section.

We will email volunteer shift times by Monday, October 28th. Volunteers do not need to purchase a ticket. If you choose to donate your donation will be used exclusively for the Teammate Prom. 

Volunteer responsibilities include: 

• Event set-up and decorations
• Helping attendees with bowties and party jewelry. 
• Welcoming guests and cheering them on the red carpet!
• Serving food and drinks. Passing out party favors.
• Relaying music requests to the DJ!
• Dancing!  Encouraging guests to PARTY!
• Assisting photographer.
• Alerting staff members if assistance is needed.
• Tear-down and pack-up.
