Catalina Museum for Art & History turns 70!

In honor of our 70th Anniversary we are revealing what is behind the curtain to share 70 years of collecting and preserving Catalina Island's cultural heritage. 

As part of this milestone, our new exhibition Cabinet of Curiosities: 70 Objects for 70 Years will showcase the rich heritage we’ve safeguarded for seven decades. It’s a captivating blend of artifacts, stories, and art that have shaped our institution. Each object, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, invites you on a journey through time, culture, and imagination.

Our theme this year is Cabinet of Curiosities to go along with our new exhibition of the same name. This important exhibition opens during the in person 70th Anniversary Fundraising Extravaganza event. Between the fundraiser at the museum and this online auction, we aim to raise critical funds supporting the museum's exhibitions and programs. The online portion of our auction features trips, unique experiences, vintage ephemera, certificates and more! All items curated specifically with the event's theme in mind.
