“The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you.” ~ Exodus 12:49
Join us for an impactful and timely panel discussion that will dive deep into how misinformation shapes immigration and discrimination. This conversation will explore the deep harm these falsehoods create while recognizing that the diversity of immigrants is the very foundation of America's strength and beauty.
We invite audience members of all backgrounds to come together in this critical dialogue, as we address how misinformation not only distorts the present but is rooted in the false narratives of our past. Holding this conversation on Indigenous Peoples' Day and the close of Hispanic Heritage month, reminds us of the long-standing history of disinformation—from the erasure and misrepresentation of Indigenous peoples to the ongoing harm done to immigrant communities today. We celebrate the rich cultural impact while addressing the broader, damaging myths that undermine the diversity and strength immigrants bring to America.
Together, let’s break the cycle of misinformation and build understanding, solidarity, inclusion, and truth. #MakeATXBRAVE #IAmBRAVE
