Music has a profound effect on our students, and the impact we can collectively make on the next generation is immeasurable because there is no limit to the positive. Please, consider joining us in our mission, and give these kids a “voice” they never even knew they had.

🎼 History in Harmony 🎼
Founded in 2014 by the music maestro Mark Turk, Beat 4 Beat (formerly Beyond the Grade) started as a spark of inspiration. Mark's passion for music ignited when he saw the incredible impact it had on at-risk students. The beats brought new friendships, boosted attendance, and amped up academic interest. That's when Beat 4 Beat was born! We're on a mission to make music accessible to all. With over 20 talented teachers and 30+ locations, our dynamic music classes rock your world!
Beat 4 Beat’s mission is to develop confidence and community for underserved youth in Central Texas through music education. Taught by local musicians, our curriculum is inspired by students’ interests, providing opportunities for expression and empowerment.
Beat 4 Beat is an Austin-based nonprofit that offers music classes to underserved students in low-income schools.
At Beat 4 Beat, we're all about the power of music and mentorship. Our Austin-based nonprofit empowers underserved students in low-income schools through music, production, and songwriting.
For nearly a decade, we've been a constant presence in Austin ISD and other surrounding districts. Our team builds lasting connections with students and their families, and we're excited to welcome them back each year.
However, these are challenging times. District budgets have shifted, making it harder to maintain vital after-school programs. Our goal is to re-design our programs to make it easier for children all over the city and throughout Central Texas to participate in this life-changing art form that empowers and equips young minds.
Our programs do more than teach music; they build confidence, offering a safe space for creative expression that's crucial for mental and emotional well-being. Our reach extends beyond school districts to other local venus, fellow nonprofits organizations and community centers.
Your generosity can help us continue making a profound impact on underserved students and their families.
