This year is the 56th Anniversary of the Thanksgiving distribution that Daddy Bruce started. The theme for 2020 is Imagine No More Hunger. The goal is to feed 10,000 families on Saturday, November 21st. The foundation doubled its commitment from last year due to the devastating effects of the pandemic.
The traditional line of people going around the block will not happen to keep people safe and socially distanced. All recipients will drive up, and the baskets will be placed in their trunks by volunteers. For individuals who cannot drive, their baskets will be delivered by volunteers contactless.
