Welcome to our Fall Fling Fundraiser! Browse through all the great items we have to offer and help us help cats!

The Cat's Meow is a non-profit 501C3 organization. We are made up of a group of volunteers who are passionate about, and dedicated to the welfare of homeless and displaced cats.

The facility opened up in the fall of 2014 with around 25 resident cats. We now house up to 50 homeless felines at a time with fosters waiting for entry. In the years we have been open, we have placed around 500 cats into loving, forever homes! Here is an introduction. . .

Fundraising is an essential part of our organization. Not only do we pay rent and utilities on our facility (someday we hope to buy the property) but, we strive to provide the highest quality food, and the best environment for our feline friends, some require special food due to medical conditions. At times, the vet bills can sky-rocket as we have seen lately with all the kittens we have taken in.

Kitten season is always a busy time of year for rescues but, the lockdown prevented many rescues from taking in homeless animals. With no way to adopt animals out, taking in homeless animals became impossible for a lot of organizations. We took in as many as we possibly could and quickly became full to the brim!

Finally, we were able to adopt out some of the kittens by appointment only, and boy did we find homes! The next problem was to ensure that all kittens adopted got all vaccinations and were spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Many of the kittens were too young for all this and our adoption fee includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. Normally, the cats we have taken in in the past were older, full-grown cats who were already spayed or neutered, and all we needed to do was to make sure they were microchipped and vaccinations up to date. But, kitten season during the time of COVID changed all that!

So, we had the adopters bring kittens back on certain dates for vaccinations, and we organized clinics at the facility with a mobile vet for spaying and neutering. The adoption fee only covered part of all that, we foot the bill for the rest.  Our funds have been greatly diminished. We cannot hold a live event at any venue so, we are attempting an online silent auction to help us keep helping cats and kittens that, to this day, continue to come into our facility.

Please consider joining in on the silent auction. There will be something for everyone! Registration will open on October 14. Thank you for helping us help cats!
