The Museum of Chincoteague Island is excited to announce our upcoming Winter Online Auction for 2023. This year, the auction includes a collection of artwork (both originals and prints) from a well known local artist, Jenny Somers. Jenny was born on Chincoteague and grew up in a watermen's family. She had a passion for the way of life on the island and a love for the birds that called Chincoteague and Assateague home. Before she passed away, Jenny asked that her remaining artwork be used for the good of the community. We are grateful for her family for donating this collection to the museum for our winter auction. In addition, we have a large collection of taxidermy mounts of local ducks and geese. These are sought after by collectors and artists alike. You can also purchase museum memberships on this space. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Museum of Chincoteague Island and support its exhibits and programs. Thanks so much for your participation and your bids!
