About Monarch 61 Project

Monarch 61 Project exists to connect, nourish, and empower women through a creative hub of community, art, and wellness. M61 recognizes sexual assault, domestic violence, and generational poverty are existing issues for women in our very own backyard. Long-term healing and mentoring solutions are limited. The healing journey for a trauma survivor can be long.

M61 works to bridge the gap for women and provide a safe space for community and healing. Targeted programs are designed to connect women through creative play and shared trauma experiences, coach women to change their existing circumstances and break generational cycles, and give control of mind and body back to survivors of abuse. M61 has worked diligently since August, 2020 to create a model that is easily sustainable and to develop partnerships with existing area organizations in an effort to be a valuable after-care and coaching solution. M61’s ultimate vision is to see women nourished and thriving in relationships and opportunity.

Your support provides for (3) AMAZING programs...

The TABLE
The table consists of art classes, therapy classes, and community/support groups that connect women in community and shared trauma experiences. We believe creative play is healing and statistics show that four out of five women can experience post traumatic growth given a supportive and encouraging environment.

R.I.S.E.
M61 provides trauma-informed yoga and movement classes to encourage self-care and build self-esteem. M61 also offers an eight-week program (RISE) that restores power to survivors of trauma and abuse through mindfulness, trauma-informed yoga, creative engagement, and self-defense. Women spend two hours each week in a variety of activities designed to strengthen and empower. Dignity, identity, and self-esteem are restored as women take back the power over their lives that was once lost.

ROOTED
Rooted started as a violence prevention pilot program for young women in a local high school in 2021 and has expanded to serve over 70 young women in 4 area high-schools. Rooted is an immersive coaching initiative that empowers women to grow in confidence, security, self-love, emotional health, and relationship building. Our teen girls are experiencing anxiety, depression, and hopelessness at an alarming rate of 1 in 3 girls. This program provides a unique tool box to help navigate some of their most challenging years.

Let's work together to sustain a beautiful space for healing and be the sunshine for each women's amazing journey!

Journey with us and become a partner today!

Much Love,

Nicole
