Established in 1919, today the Guadalupe Centers operates as a community based 501(c)3 corporation. We are a nonsectarian organization with two major affiliations: the Heart of America United Way and UnidosUSA. While originally the center served Mexican immigrants, the center has changed with the times by extending its traditional service boundaries to include Metropolitan Kansas City–now home to over 200,000 Latinos.
The Guadalupe Centers offers a full continuum of services ranging from health and social services, education, youth development, and adult training. In addition to these programs the Guadalupe Centers operates three charter schools, serving children K thru 12th. The Guadalupe Centers staff, in conjunction with our dedicated volunteers, empowers approximately 10,000 individuals every year.
