| Fifteen years ago, the storm hit; a massive windstorm that blew down the old fir tree on Rick’s father-in-law’s property in rural Washington. A self-made wood-working hobbyist, Rick quickly realized the opportunity and laid claim to this tree, hustling his way up there. However, once secured, the truck hauling the tree broke down on the way to the mill, and the mill broke down when he finally got it there! These are hand-crafted beauties, lovingly created just for this event. The chairs pictured here have had a long journey to you, from tree to truck to mill, and will age naturally to the color of the door (in the photos) from the tannins over time. These chairs are looking forward to sitting on your porch with you while you read or while you toast them with a glass of wine in your hand (or resting in the handy wine glass holder on the chair) and best friend at your side.
