Welcome to the BACC Conquer Awards Ceremony and Silent Auction. 2020 and the COVID pandemic created a year that will go down in history for the challenges, obstacles, unrest and division we all experienced. Every fiber of our community has been impacted. Yet, we made it through!
2020 will be remembered for what we learned about ourselves and our community. The year showed the true character of the Barrington area. We are resilient, courageous, innovative, compassionate, and stronger together. The 2021 Conquer Awards program celebrates those businesses and organizations that stood tall, embraced the challenges of the year, and persevered! Our BACC Silent Auction runs from January 18 through January 28. Bidding will close at 8:00 pm on Jan. 28 following the Conquer Awards Ceremony. Our annual Silent Auction helps support BACC programming and resources that help Small Business and Main Street Retailers develop and prosper. Our Silent Auction also funds our Lauren Brown Scholarship Fund, named after a former BACC employee Lauren Brown who died at the young age of 29 from ovarian cancer. Each year in her honor we award thousands of dollars in scholarship monies to local students attending universities, community college, trade school and certification programs, as careers are built in many ways. Each year nearly 100 new members join BACC to expand their spheres of influence, build their connections in the community, and promote their products and services. BACC has over 800 members including large health care, corporate and financial institutions, hundreds of professionals representing a variety of industries, small business owners, retailers, restaurants, professional services and more. BACC creates programming and offers resources that unify, market and promote local business. We are the go-to resource for local business referrals. Our website processes thousands of targeted searches for local businesses each year. Our office staff fields thousands of inquiries each year for local business and community information. Our printed directories are an important community resource delivered to every mailbox in the Barrington area.
