Students in The Purpose Initiative Leadership Development class at Colorado High School Charter, GES are orchestrating fundraising efforts to fund service-learning opportunities within their community. This leadership and service learning class is the only one offered in a low income/minority school in the Denver area, making it an important empowerment opportunity for youth who need it most. 

Class material is delivered using Google Classrooms, which prepares students for university and professional life. In addition to leadership and community involvement principles, the class facilitates therapeutic/educational activities that cover topics such as conflict resolution, anger management, victim impact, self-esteem, peer pressure, and substance abuse. One-on-one mentoring services and gang-task intervention are provided to youth in need of positive adult role modeling and social skill development. This culturally responsive framework is designed and implemented primarily for minority at-risk youth.

All donations go directly to supporting the class, which inludes supplies, funds for class service learning projects and administrative and personell costs.
