Thank you for considering supporting Western Arkansas Tennis Association and "Oh WATA Night" on Friday, May 5, at the Bakery District. Proceeds from this event help sustain WATA's mission to make the game we love accessible to everyone in our community through extensive programming for kids and adults.
Investing in tennis though the Western Arkansas Tennis Association (WATA) is not just supporting a sport; it's investing in the health and happiness of the community. As an affiliate of the USTA, the largest tennis organization in the world, WATA is dedicated to growing the game and providing tennis programming, events, and instructional sessions in the Fort Smith Region.
In 2020, the popularity of tennis increased by 22% in the US, with 21.64 million people participating, and the same trend is happening in Fort Smith. The growth of tennis in our community comes with an increased need for structured programming and instructional opportunities for players of all ages and levels.
All sponsorships and donations to WATA have a significant and lasting impact. These funds will support various programs, including college scholarships, community events, junior and adult tournaments, kids' after-school programs, leagues, and the Special Olympics Tennis program. With an expected increase of participants in the upcoming year, the funds would also help WATA expand current programming to reach a larger audience.
The impact of sponsorship will be felt throughout the community and will positively impact the health and well-being of those who play.
