Celebrating 10 years of Championing  Entrepreneurship Education

Join us Saturday April 15, 2023 in celebrating 10 years of creating the next generation of diverse innovators and changemakers by making entrepreneurship education accessible to all.

VentureLab is doing it entrepreneurship style! Ready, Set, Startup! is a community celebration that will allow you to connect with the startup community while raising funds to provide all children access to their fullest potential, changing the face of entrepreneurship and building a more diverse pipeline for our future.

Bring your competitive spirit and be prepared for some Shark Tank-style fun with celebrity panelists. Your innovative idea will win “seed funding” that benefits youth entrepreneurship education. Leave with the potential to be honored with the coveted title of “Innovator of the Year”!

Not leaping to pitch on the big stage? No problem. You’ll have a blast voting for and cheering on your favorite ideas! In addition to the interactive pitch game and networking, there will be delicious food, tasty drinks, and a live and silent auction.

Welcome Honorary Chairs, Matt and Patty Schatz

Matt and Patty Schatz have been proudly championing VentureLab since 2018. The mission resonates with them on a deep level, as they agree that every child should have access to entrepreneurial education regardless of circumstances. They believe entrepreneurial skills are critical in a world that changes quickly and requires innovation to solve problems.
Matt is a veteran in the tech space, having spent time at Rackspace, Bazaarvoice, WPEngine, and most recently Union. A native of California, he has been in Texas since 1995, and in Austin since 2012. Patty is a first generation Paraguayan-American and grew up in McAllen, Texas. She has been in Austin since 2006, and has worked in advertising roles and volunteered for non-profits. Both Matt and Patty are proud graduates of Trinity University, and have two wonderful girls and a mini-bernedoodle.

ABOUT VENTURELAB

VentureLab envisions a world where every child, regardless of gender, race or economic status, is empowered to fully participate in creating the future through entrepreneurial and STEM education.

The mission of VentureLab is to create the next generation of diverse innovators and changemakers by making entrepreneurship education accessible to ALL youth.

At VentureLab, we’re creating the next generation of creative and skilled workers. That’s why we intentionally design programs where students can actually practice the kind of innovation that entrepreneurs do to bring their creative ideas to life, and learn how to innovate in any career they may choose.

We believe everyone is an entrepreneur! Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting companies; it is a skillset and a way of thinking. The core of entrepreneurship is building a solution to a problem. It involves identifying needs, brainstorming creative solutions, having empathy for customer’s needs, innovating, and taking calculated risks.

VentureLab is reaching over 747,000 students, educators, and caregivers in 155+ countries and all 50 US States and our vision is to be the global leader in youth entrepreneurship education.

We provide scholarships for schools wanting to add entrepreneurship and innovation education, training and coaching for teachers, business models/budgeting tools, and mentoring and materials for students without access to help change the face of entrepreneurship.
