VANC 2024 5th Annual Military Golf Fundraiser

    

Support VANC for our 5th Annual Military Golf Fundraiser. Each year VANC raises thousands of dollars to help our military community and their families. We offer a variety of programs, including some very specialized funds, such as our VEFA fund (Veterans Emergency Financial Aid) serving active duty and veterans. We are also launching our Healthy Connections Program for active duty and veterans to support their well-being and counseling for mental health. Join our efforts by making a donation, bidding on an item, or sponsoring an event. We need your help... because the men and women who serve our Nation deserve our support — Today, Tomorrow, Always —

  • ALL PLAYERS DRIVE, SELECT BEST DRIVE, ALL PLAYERS CONTINUE PLAY FROM BEST SHOT THEREAFTER (PLACED NO MORE THAN 3’, EXCEPT ON GREEN) UNTIL BALL HOLED 

  • MUST USE EACH PLAYER’S DRIVE AT LEAST ONCE

  • NO MULLIGANS – USE YOUR MIRACLE PUTT INSTEAD (BUY ONE per Golfer!)

  • RECORD YOUR BEST-BALL SCORE. TURN IN YOUR CARD TO PRO-SHOP AFTER PLAY

 

MIRACLE PUTT:

  • Say your ball is the only ball on the green but a long, long way from the cup.   (Before anyone putts) use YOUR MIRACLE PUTT or ANOTHER PLAYER’S MIRACLE PUTT as a (1) putt, pick up, and Move On!
  • You can use your or anyone’s MIRACLE PUTT ONCE anytime, anywhere on the green 
  • Par 3s are the perfect place to use a MIRACLE PUTT.

AUCTION INFORMATION

We appreciate you supporting our military community! We’re excited to have you bid in this year’s silent auction. Participation is easy and accomplished in 3 simple steps!

Since our Auction is available online, there’s a few more benefits you can expect like:

 

  • Getting a text message notification if someone outbids you!

  • Tracking all your favorite items in real time to see how the bidding process is going!

  • Bid right from your phone instead of going back and forth to the auction area!

 

When you register, you’ll be texted and emailed a special link for you to participate and bid on items in the auction. This link is specific to you and your information, so don’t share it with anyone!

FAQ

 

How do I register?

You can register online by going to https://vanc.me/golfauction. Auction registration is also available on the VANC website. If you can’t access either of those, you can register by phone by calling 719-822-2708 and we can enter all your information manually. If you are a golfer who provided your name and email address, you are already registered! Check your email for details.

 

What if I don’t have a phone or can’t register online?

No phone, no problem! We can register you at any time during the fundraiser, and you can set up auto-bidding with a cap on your favorite items so you’ll never bid more than you have to or desire. You can also have us manually add a bid to an auction item by visiting us at the Auction table. This gives everyone an opportunity to participate!

 

Does it cost anything to register? Who can participate?

Registration is completely free! Anyone with access to the internet can participate in the online auction and those at the fundraiser who don’t have internet access can register at the auction table.

 

What happens in a bidding war with an auto-bidder?

If you get into a bidding war with someone who has auto-bidding on, the person on-site gets the last bid for the win when the auction closes. In the case of two auto-bidders, the last auto-bid into the system is the winner.

 

What are the bid increments for auction items?

Each item has different bid increments. Some items may require you to place a bid of at least $10 higher each time, while other items may have a bid increment requirement of $50. Bid increments are set based on the price of the item.

 

Can I just buy the item instead of bidding?

Absolutely! All our items are available for their retail purchase price online and you can buy them any time as long as they are listed as still available. We appreciate your support!

 

Is a credit required for bidding?

Yes, we must have a card on file for you to participate in the bidding process. If you would like to pay by another means before the auction closes, please notify us at the auction table and we will accept another form of payment. All online bidders must require have a credit card on file.

 

How will I know I have won?

Winners will be announced just after 3:30pm when the auction closes. Please allow up to 15 minutes for us to finalize everything.

 

When will I be charged for the item?

Once you have been determined to be the winner, we will automatically charge the card on file unless we have been notified otherwise. You may change the card you have on file if you visit us before the auction closes.

 

What if I have questions or need support?

If you need help and you’re on site for the fundraiser, visit us at the Auction table and we’ll be more than happy to assist. You can also send an email to ops@vanc.me or call or text 719-822-2708. Please note that reception can sometimes to be rocky for calls depending on where you are on the golf course.
