About the Auction
Welcome to the Untold International Christmas Silent Auction! We're so glad you're here!
Here is some important information about the auction:
- 100% of the proceeds will go to funding literacy projects in Ghana, West Africa. You can read more about those initiatives below!
- Shipping & pickup: Only items categorized as "Shipping available" are available to be shipped, and only within the continental US. All other items can be picked up in person in Denver or Longmont. Shipping and pickup options will be communicated to the winner - but all items can be filtered based on whether or not they can be shipped.
- Shipping prices: If you are the winning bidder on a shippable item and choose to have it shipped to you, you will be responsible for covering the cost of shipping, which is indicated in the item description and the email notification after the auction closes. Depending on the size of the item, the shipping costs are as follows:
- USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box: $10.40
- USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box: $17.05
- USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Large Box: $22.45
**If you win multiple shippable items, they will be packaged together in the smallest possible box. The total shipping cost will be communicated after the auction closes.
- Donations: If you live outside of the US or simply want to support our mission, feel free to make a tax-deductible (for US taxpayers) donation here, or by visiting our website at untoldinternational.org.
- Alcohol restrictions: Some gift baskets include a bottle of wine or other alcoholic beverage. These items are categorized as "21+ ONLY." Please do not bid on these items if you are under 21 as a valid ID will be necessary to pickup the items and failure to provide valid proof of age will mean forfeiting the item. We will not sell alcohol to minors under any circumstances, and if you look younger than 60 at pickup we will ask you for your ID.

About Us
Untold International is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through language, literacy, and literature. We believe in the power of storytelling to unlock imagination, which in turn unlocks the powerful potential of innovation.
Through our subsidiary NGO, Untold Ghana, we help to build the next generation of leaders, creatives, and critical thinkers who will be able to bring uniquely Ghanaian solutions to the imperfect world they inherit.
What We Do
We partner with rural Ghanaian communities to buttress existing educational resources through book donations, library planting, extracurricular classes, and multilingual literacy materials and education. While we recognize that in a globalized world, English opens doors, we believe that true innovation happens most effectively in heart languages. As part of a decolonizing effort, we therefore work with local educators and partner organizations to equip both students and adults with local-language books, classes, and creative outlets like workshops.
Current Projects
- Kasadwini Atenaeɛ, a library, community gathering space, and classroom, offers both English and Twi-language education and resources to the rural community of Asisiriwa.
- In the future, we hope to establish a Twi Student Magazine with the JHS students of Asisiriwa where they can explore creativity through storytelling, as well as develop leadership and management skills.
Our work goes beyond sending books to children in rural communities. We are proud of our partnership with the communities we work in - partnerships that allow us to build into not only the next generation of creators and thinkers, but also educators like Kumi and Mary, our head librarian and head teacher, respectively, at Kasadwini Atenaeɛ, who have worked tirelessly to improve the opportunities for students in their community through Untold International.
