Thirty years ago TreeFolks was founded by three Austinites who were united by the sentiment that they were just plain folks with a passion for trees.
With that combined enthusiasm and effort, TreeFolks has grown from a backyard project to planting more than 2.8 million trees across Central Texas.
From a single acorn has grown a canopy to shade communities in Bastrop, Hays, and Travis Counties, and serve thousands of Texas' people.
Join TreeFolks for its 30th anniversary celebration this year at Barr Mansion for the RootBall Gala!
Know Before You Go:
Weather: This party is rain or shine! The forecast predicts a small percentage of rain but you know how fickle Austin weather can be, especially around this time of year. So keep your eye on the clouds and dress comfortably!
What to Wear: Think garden party meets business casual! In essence, you’ll find yourself in good company whether you’re donned in seersucker and sandals or your favorite pair of jeans and a blazer. We expect a lot of people to come straight from work, so we’re aiming for a comfortable blend of attire for the evening.
The Party Starts Here: The check-in table will be behind the mansion, under the grand pecan tree in the courtyard. There is no need to print your ticket -- simply give your name at the entrance and we’ll do the rest.
If you need support adding names to your reservation or making edits to your tickers, please contact TreeFolks' Development Director, Margot Piper (margot@treefolks.org), and she will assist you.
Streamline Your Evening: Simplify your night by pre-authorizing your credit card prior to the event. You can gain access to your tickets via your confirmation email or by reaching out to Margot.
We'll also have stations available during the check-in process to ensure we get you set up to participate in all event activities!
Parking: Barr Mansion provides ample parking for its guests -- what a relief! TreeFolks will have parking attendants located on the property for the first hour or so of the event for your parking convenience.
