I can't believe I'm running in my first World Major Marathon! And it's in Tokyo! I am so grateful to be part of the Abbott charity team for the Tokyo Marathon! In less than a month, I will be traveling to the other side of the world to do one of my favorite things - RUN!

As part of Abbott's charity team, I get to fundraise for any charity of my choice. I've decided to support the Gazelle Foundation. Not only for the amazing work they do in Burundi, Africa, but because clean water for everyone has always been very important to me and I believe everyone deserves clean water. Gilbert, the founder of Gazelle Foundation has helped me in so many ways with running and has made me believe that I can do more, be more and love running more! He does so much for the runners in Austin and the people in Burundi and is truly and inspiration. Please help me reach my goal of $1000 for the Gazelle Foundation before Tokyo 2024!

Did you know that waterborne diseases are the leading cause of death in Burundi? The average Burundian walks 4 miles a day to collect water that is often dirty and contaminated. Imagine how different your life would be if you couldn’t just turn on the tap to brush your teeth, wash clothes, or take a drink.

The Gazelle Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for the people in Burundi Africa by providing access to clean water. They do this through the building of water systems. And just $30 will provide a person in Burundi clean water for life! For more than 11 million people, access to clean water means access to better health, stronger community, jobs, education, and most of all: hope.

Thank you for considering the Gazelle Foundation and donating to my fundraising page.
