Enjoy a delectable meal for two (2) at Stables Steakhouse!  Stables Steakhouse features the finest Premium Black Angus Angus Beef steaks, pork, seafood, and chicken entrees in the area. At Stables Steakhouse, we want you to sit back and relax. Take in the surroundings and enjoy the finer things in life … a big steak, a great bottle of wine, and our warm hospitality. Stables Steakhouse … We are at your Service. About Stables Steakhouse Architecturally, the building typifies turn-of-the-century stable buildings. Originally, the entrance featured an arched doorway with wooden doors and the roof was adorned with four cupolas. The building is made of brick and poplar. Unfortunately, the original horse stalls were removed from the building in the 1920’s. When the restoration project began in 1998, an on-site wood shop was constructed to recreate natural looking horse stalls. The ceiling in the main dining room is its original wood – solid poplar. The lighter colored beams are also original. They are one solid piece of poplar that span 40 feet in length. The buildings restorers used auto body sanders to remove several coats of paint to expose these beautiful beams. The darker beams were added to support the floor of the upper level. Some of Terre Haute’s rich history is preserved in our dining room. Three brass chandeliers which grace the room as well as the large chandelier at the top of the stairs are from the former downtown Elks Lodge which was located on 7th Street in Terre Haute. The stained glass inserts in the bar header and in the restroom foyer are from the Central Christian Church. All of the interior and exterior wooden doors are from the same church. The solid oak front and back bar (c. 1900) are from the Homestead Tavern in Centenary, In. Rumors circulate that the legendary John Dillinger frequented this bar upon his numerous visits to our area.

Package includes: 1-year membership to Ouabache Land Conservancy (OLC) OLC T-shirt OLC Hat Mission Statement To protect and restore land in west-central Indiana by providing habitat for native species, maintaining natural scenic beauty, and improving water and air quality; while offering education and enhancing the quality of life in our communities for future generations.  Who We Are The Ouabache (pronounced Wabash) Land Conservancy was founded in 2007 as a land trust.  There are currently over 1,700 land trusts in the United States, 26 of which are in the state of Indiana.  The function of most land trusts is to protect natural lands and farmlands from development.  Some land trusts also focus on historic sites.  OLC serves west central Indiana, including Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo Counties.  The Ouabache Land Conservancy is officially a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation recognized by the IRS!  Your donations are fully tax-deductible. What It Means to Protect Land Nature is vivacious. Give the plants, animals, bugs, fungi, and waterways a chance to survive, and they’ll thrive. But when 85% of Indiana’s original forests have been destroyed, when species are put at risk of extinction, and when ponds and creeks fill with contaminants and face erosion, nature needs our help.  The Ouabache Land Conservancy (OLC) was founded in 2007 by a bunch of Hoosiers who realized the value of protecting these beautiful natural resources. Protection, or land stewardship as we call it, involves all the classic conservation techniques: planting native species like milkweeds for monarch butterflies, monitoring threatened species like the Indiana bat, planting trees to control erosion, cleaning up trash and debris, building trails for proper visitation and use, removing invasive species that crowd out helpful plants, strategic land acquisitions to build onto large wildlife corridors, and more. These activities help us achieve cleaner water, safe habitats, diverse ecosystems, and meaningful ways for people to connect with nature. We can do more with your help — volunteer, donate funds, and spread the word. Donated by the Ouabache Land Conservancy and Denise Marie Sobieski.

Spice up your life with these tasty seasonings from Sons' Spice Co. in Twelve Points! Items in this package include: Que the Flavor BBQ Sauce Everyday Seasoning Salt OUR STORY. We're a husband and wife team passionate about making people curious about food. Our journey began with one little seasoning that started as our wedding favor. When we began planning our wedding we struggled with thinking of a favor that would both please our guests and represent us. We decided on crafting our very own seasoning blend. Making this seasoning brought so much joy and is hands down one of our favorite memories from our wedding. When guests began asking for refills, we knew we had something special. Now, we have grown from one little seasoning to a whole store, making sure to put the same amount of love and attention into every batch as the first.
