Want to write a song of your own? Or brush up on your guitar skills? Here’s your chance to dive in with Abigail Dowd for (2), one-hour private guitar or songwriting sessions via Zoom. Abigail loves to help others mine their experiences for songs of their own. She is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who grew up under the longleaf pines of North Carolina. Known for her storytelling and command of an audience, she has been called "a writer of the highest caliber" (All Scene Eye). You'll often find imagery from the longleaf pines in her songs as she weaves hints of Celtic melodies with the soulful gospel of the south to create a sound that dances between folk, rock, and blues.  More information about the Artist at abigaildowd.com.   Donated by Abigail Dowd

Fat Lighter: Our Southern Longleaf Heritage by Jonathan P. Streich You are bidding on a paperback copy. Those who remember what the longleaf pine woodland looked like are passing with each tree that is cut. Perhaps it takes age, and an outsider who became a fire ecologist, to appreciate what once was. This pictorial gift of over 80 images of the longleaf pine story will be appreciated if you liked: Ray's Ecology of a Cracker Childhood, Neel's The Art of Managing Longleaf, or Earley's Looking for Longleaf. It speaks about one of North America's premier forests: the longleaf pine ecosystem. The most bio diverse forest in North America; the most dominant forest in the South; the most endangered forest today. Table of Contents includes: Settlement Longleaf Pine Fire!
