Ann and Bob Lilly
Bob Lilly is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs . Lilly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981.
Affectionately known as "Mr. Cowboy," his name was the first to be inscribed in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor , above Texas Stadium and the current AT&T Stadium . The Cowboys had a Bob Lilly Day on November 23, 1975, to honor him and make Lilly the first inductee into the Ring of Honor. He has attended every ceremony for each Ring of Honor inductee since.
Our Causes
Single Parent Advocate is a non-profit organization committed to educating, equipping, and empowering single parents with resources, practical assistance, emotional encouragement, and social networking to better their lives and those of their children. We are a nonprofit that reaches out to help single parents, their children, and their support organizations. It is our commitment to continue our advocacy, our training with families, consumers, and professionals, and our efforts to organize and support these families.
This year, Scott Murray will be returning as our Celebrity Emcee, and we are partnering with the Scott Murray Scholarship Foundation to provide educational scholarships to a single parent and/or single parent child who is actively pursing their college education.
All funds raised in this tournament benefit Single Parent Advocate and will go towards supporting families in Texas. A portion of the proceeds will be used to provide educational scholarships to be awarded through the Scott Murray Scholarship Foundation for the benefit of a single parent and/or single parent child who is actively pursuing their college education and who meets the requirements of the scholarship.
Scott Murray
Scott Murray spent three decades with NBC television as a multi EMMY Award-winning TV anchor/host and broadcast journalist. He’s been recognized as a Living Legend of Journalism by the Press Club of Dallas and is a recipient of the prestigious Silver Circle Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Scott presently is CEO of Murray Media, a television production company with Event A/V, Virtual Shows and Streaming, while remaining most active as a keynote speaker, author, radio host and moderator/emcee of hundreds of corporate, convention and charitable events. In addition, he serves on the board/advisory boards of countless children’s, civic, charitable and non-profit organizations. Scott is most proud to support the success of students looking to further their education, but lack the necessary resources, through the Scott Murray Scholarship Foundation. He's also most proud that the Scott Murray Scholarship for Sports Broadcasting is presented annually in partnership with The Lone Star EMMY Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to a college bound student pursuing a career in Television Sports Broadcasting.
Scott is proud to have been honored with countless awards such as: Man of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Philanthropist of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year, and, his most cherished personal award, Father of the Year.
In keeping with our tradition, we will be including celebrities who will play alongside each of you!

Our Celebrities
Rudy Gatlin, The Gatlin Brothers
The Gatlin Brothers recorded numerous CD’s and toured extensively throughout the United States playing sold out concerts, fairs and Las Vegas. The Academy of Country Music (ACM) honored them with awards for Single of the Year for ‘All the Gold in California’ and Album of the Year for ‘Straight Ahead.’ They performed on the Country Music Association (CMA) awards shows, country music specials like “The Johnny Cash 25th Anniversary Show”, CBS’s ‘Country Comes Home,’ Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show and the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and Jay Leno and most recently, the Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson shows. ‘The Gatlin Brothers Special’ aired on ABC in 1981. Their travels also included country music festivals in England and the most popular TV shows like ‘Musicladen’ in Germany. “You name a TV show and we were probably on it”!
Rudy starred in the role of ‘Curly’ in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘Oklahoma’, and the part of ‘Frank Butler’ in Irving Berlin’s ‘Annie Get Your Gun.’
Rudy has been involved with several charity golf events throughout the country. “I’m always happy to do whatever I can for these great causes, especially if there is a little golf associated with it!
Gant was a member of the Cowboys Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII championship teams. He was nicknamed "The Shark" because during the 1992 season , before every kickoff and after making big plays, he would perform a celebratory dance dubbed "The Shark Dance".
Burton Gilliam
While working as a fireman for the city of Dallas,
Gilliam appeared in the role of "Floyd", the desk clerk, in the film Paper Moon .
He then went on to appear in such popular movies as Blazing Saddles and Back to the Future Part III .
Chris McAlister
American former professional football player who was a cornerback for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Arizona Wildcats , earning unanimous All-American honors. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft , and played for the Ravens for 10 seasons before playing his final season with the New Orleans Saints .
Mark Clayton
American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Clayton played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners from 2001 to 2004 earning first-team All-American honors twice. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft and also played for the St. Louis Rams .
Drew Pearson
Former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver (1973-1983). Superbowl XII Champion. 3x Pro Bowl (1974, 1976, 1977), NFL recieving yards leader (1977), NFL 1970's All Decade Team, Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Coach (1985), Dallas Texans Head Coach (1991).
In 1979 , he and Tony Hill —along with Tony Dorsett —helped the Cowboys become the first team in NFL history to have two 1,000-yards wide receivers and a 1,000-yard running back , when he recorded 55 receptions, 1,026 yards and 8 touchdowns . Pearson and Hill also became the first wide receiver tandem in Cowboys history to record 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the same year.
Doug Donley
Former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears .
He was selected in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft . He played college football at Ohio State University .
Timmy Newsome
Former Fullback for the Dallas Cowboys from 1980-1988. 2x NAIA All-American (1978, 1979), NCAA All-American (1978), 3x CIAA Offensive Player of the Year (1977, 1978, 1979), 3x All CIAA (1977, 1978, 1979)
In 1986 , he started 12 games at fullback , until making way for Herschel Walker to start alongside Dorsett late in the year. He teamed with Dorsett and Walker to form Tom Landry 's latest offensive innovation - the full-house backfield. He also served as the third tight end . He finished with 48 receptions (third on the team) for 421 yards (fourth on the team), 34 carries for 110 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Tony Hill
Former Wide Reciever for the Dallas Cowboys. Superbowl Champion XII, Dallas Cowboys 50th Anniversary Team, 3x Pro Bowl (1978, 1979, 1985), Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame.
Known for his quick speed and big play ability, Coach Tom Landry called Hill “Our Home Run Hitter. I’ve never seen a guy who could adjust to a ball in mid-air like Tony. He is a very explosive player---the type who can turn a short play into a big play in a hurry, because he has excellent running ability and speed.”
In 1979, Hill and Drew Pearson —along with Tony Dorsett —helped the Cowboys become the first team in NFL history to have two 1,000-yard wide receivers and a 1,000-yard running back , when he recorded 60 receptions, 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns .
