Since 1986, SAVE, Inc. has been building a sense of safety and community in Midtown Kansas City. SAVE, Inc. was formed as a specific response to the AIDS epidemic, offering SAVE Home, a safe space provided to those with the disease so they could die with dignity. As the understanding of HIV / AIDS grew, so did our services, expanding into housing assistance and transitional housing in the 1990s. In 2020, SAVE, Inc. adapted to the needs of the community once again by opening Pride Haven, where we provide emergency overnight housing assistance to transition-aged LGBTQ+ youth (ages 18-24) facing homelessness. We currently manage 8 different properties and have another about to break ground! Today, SAVE, Inc. provides vital services to over 2000 individuals and families per month in the form of emergency assistance, voucher programs, emergency shelter, and permanent supportive housing.
We are so honored to be a community lynchpin, helping to bring hope and dignity back to Kansas City’s most vulnerable population, who would otherwise have nowhere else to turn. At SAVE, Inc., we believe that housing is a basic human right and that housing is healthcare. Please join us at SAVE, Inc.’s 11th annual HomeComing event: The Queen’s Ball, on October 22, 2022, at Plexpod Westport Commons. As guests at this splendid soiree, you will be transported to 1800s London to take part in the most coveted ball of the season to sip on champagne, waltz your way into high society, compete for lavish prizes, and perhaps have the opportunity to take photos with the queen herself – all in the name of supporting SAVE, Inc.’s mission and helping us reach our fundraising goal of $150,000. We hope you will consider lending your presence, voice, and support to help us reach this goal! Your support will help SAVE, Inc. take the lead and speed up the fight against homelessness in our community, providing home, hope, and dignity for those battling the dual hardship of homelessness and disability. Attire
Formal dress highly encouraged; thematic attire highly reccommended: Early 1800s Regency Era gowns and tuxedos/suits. There will be a prize for Best Dressed! Amazon has some very affordable options for purchase, and you can double it's purpose and use this costume for Halloween as well. Parking
There is plenty of parking on site that is free to use for all guests, as Plexpod Westport Commons has a small parking garage and a few parking lots around its' campus. There is also additional parking on the surrounding streets if needed that is free and legal.

If you or your business/organization wanted the opportunity to support SAVE, Inc. and our mission by sponsoring this event, you need to do that as soon as possible. Ambassador Fundraisers and Events Benefitting HomeComing 2022: The Queen's Ball
A few dedicated individuals have volunteered to be Ambassadors for our HomeComing event this year, and we are so incredibly grateful! They are tasked with getting the word out about The Queen's Ball to their communities, help sell tickets to the event, and secure sponsorships for the event from their own individual contacts and relationships. All of their efforts and money raised will count towards our total fundraising event goal of $150,000.

October 20: HamBINGO at Hamburger Mary's
This ain’t your grandma’s bingo… After all, this ain’t the VFW! It’s down and dirty “HamB-I-N-G-O” Hamburger Mary’s style, with lots of tongue in cheek sass!
The Queens and Kings of Hamburger Mary's call the balls for Charity every Wednesday and Thursday night. Come play this special addition of HamBINGO on Thursday, October 20th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm and help SAVE, Inc. raise some moolah! This round of HamBINGO is going to support SAVE, Inc.'s annual fundraiser: HomeComing 2022: The Queen's Ball. More information about the fundraising event will be available at the SAVE, Inc. promotional table, as well as the chance to buy tickets to attend for 20% off.
Reservations are highly encouraged. It's the only way to ensure you will have a table. To be seated at a table during charity bingo events there is a $15 minimum purchase per person at the table mandatory purchase. To play bingo, a $10 donation to SAVE, Inc. will get you a book of 10 bingo cards. 100% of the donation goes to SAVE, Inc. No cash prizes are given to game winners. Winners of each game are given a donated prize from the prize table provided by SAVE, Inc. Click on event graphic/ad for more information or to reserve your spot!

October 21: BAMA Rush Drag Show at Woody's KC
Your sorority fantasy drag show is here, join us for BAMA Rush, at Woody's KC on Friday, October 21st from 9-11pm. Woody's is Kansas City's Premier LGBTQ+ Bar (all inclusive), Cabaret & Nightclub in Kansas City's Midtown neighborhood. $5 door cover charge. Click on the ad for more information.
