Support for Kachina Exhibit Cabinet

In fall of 2024, the Millicent Rogers Museum received a $5000 grant from the Greenwood fund to address some rehousing concerns related to our kachina collection. We are seeking an additional $5000 to complete the budget for this project. This project focuses on the kachina collection of the Millicent Rogers Museum that are currently housed in collections storage. The majority of these objects are Hopi in origin, and many were made specifically for trade and sale. The whole kachina collection numbers 249 individual objects, however this project will focus on a smaller selection of the collection, approximately 169 objects, that require rehousing. Rehousing the collection will allow the museum to better care for these objects with the intention of eventually returning their presence to our galleries.

The need for this is: $5,000
