Celebrate National Trails Day on June 3rd, and show your support for Macon's incredible trail system!
With dozens of miles of trails, including our most scenic, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, there is something for everyone, from hikers and nature lovers to runners, bicyclists, and commuters. The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail connects to several parks and natural areas, such as Amerson River Park, the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, and the Historic Riverside Cemetery. Your donation will help us maintain and develop this magnificent trail, ensuring that it's safe and accessible for everyone. You will also help us create new connections and activate exciting projects along the OHT. Whether you're an experienced trail enthusiast or a newcomer to Macon's outdoor scene, we welcome you to join our cause and show love for Macon's trails by making a donation.
Here is how you can join us in celebrating National Trails Day in Macon:
- Make a donation. Proceeds will benefit NewTown Macon's Ocmulgee Heritage Trail construction fund which furthers trail expansion. Donations will also support traffic calming projects led by Bike Walk Macon that will connect to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail.

- Get active. Hop on a new (or familiar) trailway in Macon. There are several trail options for you and the family to get out and get active by biking, running, walking, or skating! Pick one and enjoy!
