Tee off with purpose at the 3rd Annual Lake Travis Rugby Club Golf Tournament where your passion for golf or just having a good time meets the power to make a difference! Join us at the beautiful Live Oak Golf Course in Lakeway. We start registration at 10:30am, shotgun start begins at 12:00pm. Each team will be provided thier own golf cart, barbecue dinner, swag bags, and prizes.
Join us in supporting Lake Travis High School Rugby Club’s mission to provide a platform for players to develop their skills both on and off the field, emphasizing qualities such as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and becoming young men of character. Your charitable donations will help provide adequate facilities, equipment and resources for training, matches, and other rugby-related activities for our nonprofit club. Your help will give many more people another sport option in high school and the chance to learn one of the world’s fastest growing sports.
We are lucky that in 2011 two rugby dads had a group of kids interested to learn and play this worldwide sport. The following year our head coach Rick Medina founded our club. All of our coaches to this day are volunteers contributing their time and expertise to help build a sense of community within the club. Past sponsorships have enabled our coaches to build a club with a state championship, many top state and national rankings, and All-State and All-American players. We have sent many alum on to play for Texas, SMU, Texas State, and many other universities, including multiple National Championship winning players at Life University and St. Bonaventure University.
In the world of rugby, the bond forged on the field extends to the shared table. Win or lose, our team gathers after every match with the other teams, not just to refuel, but to savor the taste of unity, camaraderie, respect, and the unbreakable ties that define our rugby family. We invite you to join a large shared table and family on April 22nd!
Together, we can turn a day of fun on the green into a lifetime of positive changes! You don't have to be a "real" golfer either! It's just as fun. Great post-tournament food, beverages, rugby culture, and Silent Auction!
