Overview:  

This two-hour workshop will provide attendees with tools and techniques they can immediately apply as they embark on a Strategic Planning process.  Attendees will gain an understanding of the variety of options and approaches available to them with regards to Strategic Planning as well as learn how to craft a strategic plan that can respond and last through a dynamic environment.   

 

Audience:  Nonprofit executives, Board members, and anyone involved in the Strategic Planning process.  

 

Presenter:  Michelle Mapp, a former nonprofit CEO and business owner, works with mission-driven organizations helping them to envision and achieve greater impact & sustainability.  Working at the juxtaposition of leadership, strategy, and culture, Michelle has more than 25 years of experience and engagement in nonprofit management, communications, strategic planning, and executive leadership.

 

Michelle received a master’s in business administration from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and an undergraduate degree in political communications from George Washington University. She has worked with clients ranging from government agencies, such as the US Department of Agriculture, to local nonprofits such as Heritage Housing Partners to Foundations such as the Music Man Foundation. She is passionate about helping nonprofits do what they do better and helping to build more supportive workplaces in the nonprofit sector.
