Thank you for supporting me as a Star Dancer for Lumina Nights: Dancing With Our Stars, a fundraising event benefiting Lumina Alliance, on April 12th-13th! I am raising money for Lumina Alliance to support their essential services, like the 24-hour Crisis & Information Line, which is near and dear to my heart. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference in the lives of survivors, their family members, and our community at large.
As you may know, Lumina Alliance provides an array of vital services for victims of sexual and intimate partner violence in SLO County. I am committed to helping survivors find hope, healing, and empowerment. Please join me by donating today!
I also hope to see you at the event! If you’d like to see me bust a move on the dance floor, please purchase a ticket to either Friday or Saturday night and be prepared to cheer for yours truly. Thank you for your support of Lumina Alliance and of me! Your kindness, encouragement, and donations will go a long way in uplifting me during this new experience.
About the Star:
Jeff attended Cal Poly to study Dairy Science and dreamed of returning to New England to farm. He fell in love with SLO and stayed here, eventually getting involved in telecommunications in 1983, just as AT&T was being broken up. He was the first employee and eventually President of Call America. Later he started another company called Call America and later Blue Rooster Telecom. They joined forces with Norcast and then with Digital West. Digital West joined forces with Astound Broadband, and Jeff is excited to work with the team building broadband for homes and businesses throughout the Central Coast. Jeff never did become a dairy farmer, but he does raise beef cattle on a small cow-calf operation on our ranch near Los Osos that he operates with his family. They live "off the grid" with 40+ cows as well as horses, cats, and dogs. He’s a bit of a character and loves and appreciates their wonderful customers and dedicated co-workers at Digital West.
Jeff has supported Lumina Alliance with low-cost telecommunications services for decades and is dedicated to serving those in need in the community. His life work being telecommunications, Jeff is dancing to support the 24-hour Crisis & Information line which has been available to SLO County residents since the mid-1970s.
