You and up to to 9 friends will join an Ijams naturalist who will help you navigate a unique cavern ecosystem and search for the creatures that call these caves home. This tour is designed for ages 18+, but younger children (14+) are welcome at your discretion. Available dates start in Spring 2025. PLEASE NOTE: Caving at Ijams is a very rewarding activity, but is also physically and mentally demanding. Cave temperatures rest at around 55 degrees year-round. Participants must expect to navigate slippery, muddy hills, knee/thigh-deep water, and cold temperatures during the majority of the program. Portions of this tour require participants to crawl through tight spaces and use their hands and arms to help continue through the cave. The gated cave entrance is small, measuring about 3 ft. x 2 ft. Please consider these things if you bid on this experience. |

You'll learn about the beautiful night sky while searching for plants, animals, and geologic features along the way. This is a chance to spend time outdoors with friends/family while expanding your knowledge of nature! This programs is designed for ages 14+. All participants under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Available dates start in Spring 2025. PLEASE NOTE: Ijams Nature Center's kayak launch and dock contain accessible elements to help those with mobility and access challenges get out on the water. The dock, launch, and approach do not, however, meet ADA requirements for a truly accessible dock.
