Annual auction and bake sale to support GTAB and our GTA teachers!
The GT Academy Booster Club hosts the Winter Hoopla and Silent Auction. The auction is our primary annual fundraiser featuring over 70 baskets with themes hand-picked by students and teachers of the GT Academy. You can also bid on teacher experiences, which are fun activities for students and teachers alike. The funds raised at the auction directly benefit the GT Academy teachers and students for supplies, field experiences, guest speakers, and enrichment activities.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT ON FRIDAY NIGHT TO WIN AN AUCTION ITEM

Every year, our 5th-grade students study and learn about a subject of their choice for a TPSP project. The project culminates with the teams making quilts. They learn to sew and use a sewing machine.
Each bolt of fabric for the back of the quilt and all quilting batting for each of the 65 quilts made by the 5th grade TPSP teams each year.
On average, GTAB invests $60 per GTA student per year for mini-course supplies, field experiences, additional academic programs, TPSP showcase, and teacher education.
We send our students on numerous field experiences throughout the year through minicourses. Some field experiences have a cost and to keep the financial burden at a low for our families, GTAB provides funding for these invaluable experiences for our students. (Some examples: Health Museum $195; Flight Museum $140; Houston Sword Sports $150; Houston Museum of Natural Science $112; Houston Museum of Natural Science $150; Shard Yard $300; Sundance Yoga $150, NASA Longhorn Project $165)
