'Paws'-itive Attraction!

Admit it…you've watched at least of few of what must be millions of adorable dog and cat videos on the internet. They’re undeniable proof of the magnetic attraction between pets and humans. Our furry friends provide us joy and entertainment, but they count on us to give them a world where they are safe, secure, well-loved, respected, and all their needs are met.

The GMHS team of experts finds loving homes for hundreds of pets that come through its doors annually; it provides life-saving transfers of homeless pets to guaranteed adoption partners throughout the East Coast. It funds a world-class spay-neuter clinic, a foster program that helps pets grow strong, and its Food Pantry helps families struggling to keep food in the bowls of their four-legged family members -- ensuring that pets and their people stay together no matter what tough times they face.

Your auction purchases and donations will provide very real compassionate care for the pets and people counting on us. The possibilities are only limited to our imaginations.

Monetary donations made to GMHS dated between December 11, 2023 and January 31, 2024, will be doubled up to $100,000! As an added incentive — you may want to act by 11:59 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (121/31/2023) to take advantage of your eligible charitable tax deductions for 2023.

2022 BY THE NUMBERS

* 1,600 pets were cared for at the GMHS shelter -- with a 97% out alive rate

* It cared for over 700 pets at Gloucester Animal Control

* The GMHS Fixin’ to Save Spay/Neuter Clinic performed 4,213 Surgeries -- preventing tens of thousands of unwanted litters

* The GMHS Pet Pantry distributed more than 40,000 pounds of pet food to help people struggling to keep food in the bowls of their 4-legged family members
