This Wish List item helps fund "CircEsteem", which is a six-week, highly interactive residency program that helps build young students' self esteem, agility, confidence and create safe communities through the learning of circus arts.  

During the residency, all 1st Graders participate in various interactive activities associated with the circus to build skills such as balance, humor, and hand-eye coordination. Students build their independence and self-esteem by learning new skills in a supportive environment that is designed to teach resiliency and perseverance.  

 The primary goal is to assist children's social and personal development by nurturing their self-esteem and trust in others as well as by helping them to acquire social skills, become active citizens and express their creativity.
