There is no question that Ms. Pearlmutter offers a challenging and engaging art program to our children. It is well known that art nurtures the creative, intellectual and problem solving skills of our students -- as well as providing an outlet for every student to express themselves in a truly open medium. Making, discussing and displaying their artwork teaches students many values and lessons beyond their beautiful creations. By having the opportunity to freely manipulate these materials into works of art, our children learn to trust themselves (and others), to take pride in making something from their imagination, and help expand their minds to visualize and solve the problems of tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the annual CPS budget for Bell School does not provide any funding for Bell's Art program's supplies/materials, including drawing paper, paint, charcoal, Cray Pas, 3-D sculpting materials, clay and other art related media/materials. 

So without the generous support of donors like you, the 900+ Bell students would have a very different and uninspiring art experience. Please do your part to help ensure our students have the fulfilling Art experience that they deserve!
