| Reinaldo Gil Zambrano is an artist, printmaker, and educator born in Caracas, Venezuela. He attended the United World College Costa Rica in 2007 earning a bilingual IB diploma while understanding the potential of his visual narratives surrounded by 70 students from 65 different countries. As a Davis Scholar, Reinaldo attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts. He later received his Master of Fine Arts from The University of Idaho in 2017. Reinaldo’s care for education and communal engaging activities through arts has been recognized with several awards in teaching on his emerging career. Since 2017 he has exhibited on regional and national levels and has lectured in several institutions in the North West. His intricate woodcuts have been recognized with multiple first prizes and honorable mentions and he has been featured by printmaking publications such as Pressing Matter and Pine, Copper & Lime. RGZ’s work has been included in collections in the United States and his native country Venezuela including, the Mary Hill Museum of Art, University of Guam, Minot State University and Taller de Artistas Graficos Asociados Graficos TAGA. RGZ currently lives in Spokane, WA where he is a Co-founder and instructor at The Spokane Print & Publishing Center and serves as an art instructor at Gonzaga University. He also runs RGZprints and collaborates with local non-profits on the development of annual events that highlight printmaking and education such as The Spokane Print Fest and the Emerge INK! | Maya is a ceramic artist currently living in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She grew up in Toledo, Ohio and graduated in 2008 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio where she got a BFA in glass and ceramics. After graduating Maya spent time traveling, worked at the Omega Institute in upstate New York, lived in Costa Rica for a year, became a yoga teacher and then settled in Colorado where she started making ceramics again. In Denver Maya spent several years growing her business, Melissa Maya Pottery, and then moved to Idaho and brought the business with her. She now lives here in CDA with her husband, two girls and pup and continues to make work in her basement studio. During cocktail hour, watch Maya create a large beautiful bowl that can be bid on in the live auction. The buyer will get to choose the finished decorative motif from one of Maya's signature designs. |

| About Chris In sculpture, I discovered a medium through which I can portray emotion that I find difficult to express by other means. I am especially intrigued by classical realism juxtaposed against modern, abstract or even absurd interactions and environments. Through exploration and artistic interpretation, my hope is that my sculptures may teach me and my viewers something about the human condition, our nature, our potential , our strengths and our faults. My work is not solely about beauty but it is intended to be a message, delivered through a unique perspective and, hopefully, with ever-increasing technical skill. Each bronze is cast with the lost wax method and has a unique patina finish, hand applied by artisans at the foundry and under my direction. (from www.chrisgrubb.art) Falling with a sense of peace. The relaxed pose is intentional and ironic given the predicament of the subject. The title is a made-up word akin to a therapy tool. Decatastrophizing is a cognitive restructuring technique to reduce or challenge catastrophic thinking… essentially, bringing yourself down from high anxiety by reasoning that not everything is falling apart. I think it's a pretty good feeling. My hope is that these pieces will be fun and functional and bring a little happiness into your everyday activities like serving a meal, growing a plant, or having your morning coffee. I enjoy the whole process of making things out of clay, from throwing to trimming to decorating.
