Rodney Whittington Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer of Advena Living Group and Method Healthcare. He obtained a degree in Administration and Gerontology from Kansas State University.  With twenty years as a licensed administrator, Rodney has led three communities to Five-star CMS ratings and multiple to zero deficiency surveys. He spent eight years as the Chief Executive Officer of Villa St. Francis, the largest provider of Medicaid-sponsored long term care in Kansas. Villa St. Francis is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. 
 

Rodney has a passion for seeking out struggling communities where he develops and leads teams of best-in-class professionals. He believes this creates stability and the best living environment for the residents they serve.  

His success has not gone unrecognized, leading him to the American Healthcare Association’s inaugural class of Future Leaders of Long Term Care. In 2018, Rodney became a Health Services Executive recognized by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrators Board, as well as a LeadingAge Kansas Leadership Fellow in 2019. Most recently, Rodney became a Vice President of Kansas Healthcare Association who represents providers of long term care and those they serve. Rodney believes there is a direct correlation between the way staff is treated and the care they provide to our seniors. Nothing gives him more pride or motivation than assembling and retaining a great team of overachievers. 

In his spare time, Rodney enjoys cursing his golf game, long walks on the beaches of Cabo and a cold Tank 7.
