Sponsor a Parade Youth Intern
Your gift will sponsor a paid position for one of Parade Youth Intern Squad members! Each parade season, Cattywampus hires local high school students as teaching artist assistants for each of our Parade Youth Art Residencies.
Each residency is 8-weeks long and is hosted at an afterschool partner site in Knoxville, such as Centro Hispano, the Boys & Girls Club, or a Knox County School. These residencies are completely free to our community partners. Youth Interns are paired with our Cattywampus Teaching Artists to lead 10 of these Youth Art Residencies each spring, supporting students in designing & creating their own giant puppets and other parade art. Each residency culminates in students forming their own parade crew and sharing their original art with the community at our Cattywampus Parade & Street Party on May 19th!
