About Court Advocates for Children
Court Advocates for Children is a 501(c)3 non-profit child advocacy organization serving the abused, neglected, and abandoned children ages birth to eighteen years in Kittitas County since 1985. Court-appointed special advocates (CASAs) are community members trained to provide best-interest advocacy for abused and neglected children in Kittitas County.
Since 1985, Court Advocates for Children has served EVERY child in dependency in Kittitas County. We need YOUR help to continue our work advocating for the most vulnerable citizens in our community, the children.
About the Event:
Court Advocates for Children’s 37th annual event, Celebration of Hope is the chance for members, stakeholders, and volunteers to connect and celebrate the best-interest advocacy provided for abused and neglected children in Kittitas County.
“Celebration of Hope is an inspiring and fun-filled evening to honor its volunteer advocates and raise awareness and funds to sustain advocacy for abused and neglected children in our community,” said Sandra Bankston, Court Advocates for Children Executive Director.
You can expect this year’s event to be an evening you don’t want to miss complete with live music, amazing auction items, and the opportunity to connect with members, stakeholders, and volunteers that share your same passion for ensuring every child in our community has a safe, permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
In the past, the event has been a tremendous success. Over 100 guests attended the event in 2021 that raised more than $60,000 to sustain CASA’s work on behalf of these vulnerable children. This accounts for 26% of our operating budget and allows us to extend our best interest advocacy work in Kittitas County. The money raised from this event goes directly to the following:
- Providing best interest advocacy for all dependent children in Kittitas County
- Training new volunteer child advocates
- Continuing education for current volunteer advocates
- Recruitment, Outreach, and Awareness
