Transforming Austin through the power of connection: why GIVING TUESDAY matters…

ABBA is our community's premier neutral convenor for the Body of Christ across greater Austin. Three examples:

Pre-kindergarten Kits: ABBA came alongside AISD this past year and helped mobilize nonprofits to provide pre-kindergarten kits for disadvantaged children. Data confirms children, and in this case, disadvantaged communities, learn to read and excel at math much sooner when we come alongside parents and teachers: besides, isn't it wonderful when the Body of Christ and local school districts partner on behalf of our children?

Affordable Middle-Income Housing: This past year, ABBA facilitated a gathering of nonprofit and business leaders, Churches, and City Council members to develop a viable alternative for middle-income housing (think school teachers and first responders). We now have several area churches willing and able to move toward developing middle-income housing on their church properties. It's not the total solution, but a good start. 

CEO/Pastor Dinner: Each year, ABBA hosts an annual gathering of area Pastors and CEOs to help two influential leaders better understand and relate to one another so that together, they can mobilize and motivate the Body of Christ, extend the Kingdom, and bring good to our community. 

There is so much more ABBA is about and doing to bring the Body of Christ together and sow a bountiful Kingdom harvest, and you can be a part of it.
